The engagement is announced between Nicholas, younger son of Captain and Mrs David Freeman, of Northwood, Middlesex, and Kate, elder daughter of Mr Paul Munton, of Midgham, Berkshire, and Mrs John Pepler and stepdaughter of Mr John Pepler, of Box, Wiltshire.
