The engagement is announced between Thomas, son of Sqn Ldr Nigel R. Scopes, of Lincoln, and Dr Rachel A. Scopes, of Horncastle, Lincs, and Katy, daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard F. Jarvis, of Coddington, Notts.
