The engagement is announced between Nicholas, son of Dr J.F. Maxfield, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA, and Mrs M.A. Maxfield, of Milverton, Somerset, and Melanie, daughter of Mr and Mrs R.A. Clegg, of Barr Hill, Ayrshire.
