The engagement is announced between Major Robert Hewitt, Royal Engineers, elder son of the late Mr Alan Hewitt and of Mrs Hewitt, of Sheffield, Yorkshire, and Captain Amanda Hyslop, Royal Army Veterinary Corps, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Ross Hyslop, of Beaminster, Dorset.
