The engagement is announced between Rodman, son of Mr and Mrs Rodman L. Hooker, Jr, of Seattle, Washington, and Holly, daughter of Mr Stephen Sharpe, of West Sussex, and Mrs Hugh Taylor, of Kensington, London.
