The engagement is announced between Thomas, younger son of the late Earl of Scarbrough and of the Dowager Countess of Scarbrough, and Charan, daughter of the late Mr Pritpal Sohanpaul and of Mrs Sohanpaul, of Nairobi, Kenya.
