The engagement is announced between Thomas, son of the Hon Bernard Weatherill, QC, and Mrs Sally Weatherill, both of London, and Lauren, eldest daughter of Dr Timothy Coombs, of Cape Town, South Africa, and Mrs Jane Coombs, of Churchill, Oxfordshire.
