The engagement is announced between Dane, son of Mr Johannes Hamer, of the Orange Free State, South Africa, and Mrs Carina Hood, of Western Province, South Africa, and Emily, younger daughter of the late Mr Christopher Bell and of Mrs Paul McNamara, of Pyrton, Oxfordshire.
