The engagement is announced between James, son of Mr Peter Backhouse, of Gordes, France, and Ms Jane Astle, of Newnham, Northants, and Hélène, daughter of the late Lt-Cdr Glen Robinson-Moltke and of Mrs Michael Mates, of West Marden, West Sussex.
